Missouri Horse Racing Commission

Did you know there is one? The Missouri Horse Racing Commission holds its first meeting in ten years. The meeting will be held June 2nd at 1:30 p.m. at our office in Jefferson City. The Commission consists of five members appointed from different areas of the state. Commissioners include Patrick Barrett of St.Louis, Dick Goodnight of Malden, Wayne Duncan of Savannah, Charles "Herb" Butler of Kahoka, and Dr. Waybern Yates of Kansas City. One other fun fact- Missouri ranks among the top seven states in horse populations behind Texas, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Ohio.
