The St.Louis Port Authority has bought land to be used for a four lane access road to Pinnacle’s River City casino and hotel complex. The Port Authority paid 1.25 million dollars for the site, which it had been leasing since last year. The land was owned by the U.S. Air Force and U.S. General Services Administration.
Pinnacle’s casino and hotel project, on South Broadway in Lemay, is estimated to cost 375 million dollars, and will create about two thousand permanent jobs for the community.
River City Casino and Hotel is expected to open in 2008, with three thousand slot machines and 60 table games.[more details at St.Louis Business Journal]
