Our Information Technology Department is one of the finest in the land. Other than the fact they consider showmegaming.com’s editor the real "help desk"(as in, a lot of help is needed), they’re an excellent group of hard working people. Here’s a news release to prove it.
The Information Technology
division released a new Licensing system on August 29, 2007; two days before
its intended “go live” date. Training on
the new system was conducted in the month of August with both internal staff
and Gaming personnel.
The new system enables Casino
Human Resources personnel to login to a secured web site to submit applicants
for licensure electronically as well as complete their monthly renewal
list. Internally the system has been
automated to create Invoices and Billing notifications based on the status of
licensure, license type and fee expected.
The new system will alleviate
many manual processes required of the old system which was created in 1999 at a
time when the number of licensees was a fraction of what it is today at 11,274.
