When the editor of Showmegaming.com asked Jeanna Hagen her official title, she laughed and said "it’s Senior Auditor, not Senior Citizen." That sums up this week’s Hard Way MGC employee. She’s bubbly, smart and skilled. A triple threat. Read on.
Ten the Hard Way with Jeanna Hagen
As fun as auditing can be,
but I think I could have fun doing pretty much any job. When things get
complicated, instead of getting overly stressed out, I try to take a step back
and laugh a little. Life is too short!
2. What is the best part of your job?
I would have to say the people I work with.
A little over 4 years. Cheryl Alonzo took a chance
and hired me in August of 2003.
4. Where did you go to college?
UMSL. I stayed at home and went to school. I
don’t think my parents were too thrilled with my decision:)
5. Tell us something about yourself?
I am a garage sale junkie! I love looking
through other people’s junk.
Shopping, of course! What girl doesn’t like to shop?
Hopefully, someday being a mom.
8. What part of your job do you find most interesting?
The whole casino industry is very interesting
to me, especially, the evolution of technology in the casino and how they adapt
to the change. Things that were a
priority before are no longer a priority. We are constantly updating our audit program to ensure we are monitoring
the casino’s use of any new technology that is brought in. It’s harder than you think to audit something
that has never been audited before and trying to figure out how to determine if
the casino is in compliance with our rules and regulations.
Oh and did I mention all the interesting patrons at the
casino? It is amazing to see the line at
the casino in the morning. You always wonder to yourself, what are these people
doing here and do they ever sleep?
The STL Cardinal’s batting coach. I think
they could use my help.
Definitely Chocolate:)
