KC mob figure dies
Carl Angelo “Tuffy” DeLuna, once a central figure in organized crime in Kansas City, has died at age 81.
DeLuna
served 12 years in federal prison on multiple racketeering and other
convictions related to skimming profits from Las Vegas casinos in the
1970s and ’80s. He was released in 1998.
Following his release he
occasionally frequented Kansas City area casinos before the Missouri
Gaming Commission barred him from entering them in 2005.
