McNary Resigns, Stottlemyre Appointed to Fill Post
Jefferson City, Missouri, Thursday, April 22, 2010- The Missouri Gaming Commission has accepted the resignation of Gene McNary as the 4th Executive Director. McNary submitted his resignation at the MGC monthly meeting in St.Joseph, Missouri Wednesday, April 21st. Following the resignation the Commission appointed Roger Stottlemyre, current Deputy Director of Enforcement for the MGC, as its 5th Executive Director.
MGC Chairman James Mathewson said “we wanted the transition between executive directors to be seamless. We also agreed it would be in the best interest of the Commission, and its staff, to appoint Roger Stottlemyre to fill the vacancy.”
Gene McNary, former St.Louis County Executive, began serving as executive director of MGC in July, 2006. Roger Stottlemyre, former Missouri Highway Patrol Superintendent, began serving as Deputy Director of Enforcement for the MGC in September, 2006.
The actions become effective July 1, 2010.
