Missouri Department of Public Safety Director Drew Juden thanks MGC’s David Kessel for his efforts in helping a man who had fallen near the MGC on a cold, winter day. Kessel was named DPS Employee of the Month for May 2018. David Kessel is licensing manager and custodian of records for the Missouri Gaming Commission.

The Missouri Gaming Commission is tasked with regulating charitable bingo games in Missouri. This year the Missouri Legislature approved an amendment which would change the requirements for volunteers to work a bingo game. Currently you must have two years with the qualified organization before you volunteer to work a bingo game. The newly signed legislation by Governor Greitens changes this to six months. Because this changes the state constitution, the issue must come before a vote of the people which will be held in November of this year. No changes will be made until the issue is voted upon.
The next meeting of the Missouri Gaming Commission will be Wednesday, June 27th at 10 a.m. in Jefferson City.
Congratulations to the MSHP Gaming Division’s Trooper Zach Harrison of Mark Twain Casino. Zach was named the ACE Award Winner for outstanding work in investigative and criminal matters. Zach Harrison was presented his award at the Missouri Gaming Commission monthly meeting in St.Charles this week.

MGC EGD Specialist Josh Powers was invited to have lunch with DPS Director Drew Juden. Director Juden goes to various locations around Missouri to talk with DPS employees each month.
